It is Christmas come early. Garrard Marsh has generously offered to let us use these two rooms at McHenry Bowl when we decide to emerge from our virtual cocoon. This gives us a place to take stock and build our club without making any hard decisions right away.
He will charge us by the day, for as little or as much as we want to use the
facility. It is well-within our budget. We may lease the rooms for a longer term, if we wish.
It has lots of parking, lovely windows and its own door separating it from the rest of the building. It is quiet and roomy. We will have to put up tables and chairs (he will provide chairs) each time we play as others may use it on our off days.
It is perfect for play and for lessons. There is a secure site to store and operate the dealing machine and all of our paraphernalia. There is a restaurant and bar, should you feel a bit peckish or need something stronger.
I look at what we have achieved in the last 2 months and I have one thought: this is the power of group. We are an amazing collection of people and I am thankful for all of you.
