We had a great time. This was Barbara Page’s first time running the show and she did a great job! Our unit and Merced’s all pitched in and brought food and supplies. There was no danger of going hungry.

I was asked for recipes for the ginger-molasses cookies and here it is:
Molasses Cookies (I credit my niece Caitlin for these. She showed me how to make them when we stayed in Monterey.)
4 cp flour
2 t baking soda
2 t cinnamon
2 t cloves (allspice OK)
2 t ginger
3/4 cp butter
2 3/4 cp sugar
Slowly add 2 eggs
1/2 cp molasses
1 t vanilla
Add dry ingredients. Break dough into small pieces. Roll into balls and toss them in cinnamon sugar. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes
